At Luxe & Leash Grooming Studio, every groom is tailored to the individual dog.

Breed gives us a starting point, but no two dogs are exactly alike. Size, coat type, coat condition, temperament, grooming history and the style requested all influence the time and care required.

Our studio operates one dog at a time, allowing us to provide calm, unrushed and personalised attention throughout your dog's appointment.

 

Full Groom

A complete grooming service designed to leave your dog clean, comfortable and beautifully finished.

  • Full body clip and/or scissor finish

Full Groom Pricing

Small Dogs — from $110
Maltese, Shih Tzu, Cavoodle, Toy/Mini Poodle and similar small breeds.

Medium Dogs — from $120
Pricing varies depending on size, coat type, coat length, density and styling requirements.

Large & Doodle-Type Dogs — from $150
Groodles, Labradoodles and other larger curly, fleece or high-maintenance coats.

Prices are based on regularly maintained coats in reasonable condition. Final pricing may vary according to the individual dog and the grooming time required.

 

Bath, Blow-Dry & Tidy

Perfect for maintaining your dog's coat between full grooms, or for dogs that don't require an all-over haircut.

Depending on your dog's individual needs, this service may include:

  • Warm bath and shampoo

  • Conditioning

  • High-velocity blow-dry

  • Thorough brush and comb-through

  • Face tidy

  • Feet and paw tidy

  • Sanitary trim

  • Nail grinding

  • Ear cleaning

Pricing is based on your dog's size, coat type, coat density and the amount of grooming required.

Double-Coat & De-Shedding Groom

Designed for breeds such as Golden Retrievers, Labradors, German Shepherds, Huskies, Corgis and other double-coated breeds.

A double coat performs an important natural function. Rather than routinely clipping these coats, our focus is on removing loose and impacted undercoat while preserving the natural protective coat wherever appropriate.

 

The Service May Include

  • Thorough warm bath

  • Coat-appropriate shampoo and conditioner

  • High-velocity drying to help release loose undercoat

  • Extensive brushing and de-shedding

  • Paw and pad tidy

  • Neatening of furnishings where appropriate

  • Nail grinding

  • Ear cleaning

Large bath, blow-dry and de-shedding services — from $165

Final pricing depends on the dog's size, coat density, coat condition, shedding level and the time required.

 

Puppy Grooming

Start Them Gently. Start Them Early.

A puppy's early grooming experiences can influence how they feel about grooming for years to come.

Our Puppy Foundations Program is designed as a positive introduction to professional grooming rather than simply your puppy's first haircut.

Puppies are gradually introduced to grooming equipment, handling and different sensations in a calm, supportive environment.

This may include introduction to:

  • The grooming table

  • Bathing

  • High-velocity dryer

  • Brushes and combs

  • Clippers and their sound and vibration

  • Handling of paws, face and ears

  • Nail grinding

  • Gentle hygiene and coat care

Nail Care & Small Services

Sometimes your dog doesn't need a complete grooming appointment.

 

Nail Grinding — $20

At Luxe & Leash, we use a nail grinder wherever appropriate rather than simply clipping the nails.

Grinding allows the nail to be shortened gradually while leaving a smoother finish and can be particularly useful for regular nail maintenance.

Other small maintenance services may be available depending on your dog's individual needs.

Our Approach to Matting

Welfare Comes Before Coat Length

Matting isn't simply a cosmetic problem. Tight matting can pull continuously on the skin, restrict movement, trap moisture and make grooming uncomfortable or painful.

At Luxe & Leash, we will not subject a dog to prolonged or painful dematting simply to preserve a particular hairstyle.

Minor tangles may be gently worked through where this can be done safely and comfortably.

Where significant matting is present, we will discuss the most humane grooming option with you. In some cases, this may mean clipping the coat shorter and allowing it to grow back under a better home-maintenance routine.

Comfort first. Hair grows back. Trust is much harder to rebuild.

 

A Note About Pricing

The prices shown on this page are starting prices, rather than fixed prices by breed.

Why?

Because two dogs of exactly the same breed can require completely different amounts of grooming.

One may have a regularly maintained, easy-to-manage coat. Another may have a longer, denser coat, significant tangling or require considerably more time and handling.

Your final grooming price may therefore be affected by:

Size • Coat type • Coat length • Coat density • Coat condition • Matting • Shedding • Styling requirements • Behaviour • Additional grooming time

Where possible, we will discuss any significant additional charges with you before proceeding.

If you're enquiring for the first time, sending us a recent photograph of your dog is extremely helpful when providing an initial estimate.

 

One Dog at a Time

Luxe & Leash is deliberately different from high-volume grooming salons.

We don't operate a production line of dogs arriving and leaving throughout the day.

Your dog's appointment is reserved for your dog, allowing us to work calmly, observe their behaviour and give them the time and individual attention they need.

This approach can be particularly beneficial for:

Nervous or anxious dogs • Puppies • Senior dogs • Sensitive dogs • Dogs with previous difficult grooming experiences

Some dogs settle immediately.

Others need a little more time.

Both are welcome here.

 

Gentle Grooming, Thoughtful Choices

Our welfare-first approach extends to the little things too.

We do not routinely pull ear hair simply because it has traditionally been part of a grooming routine. Ear care is approached according to the individual dog's needs.

We introduce equipment carefully where necessary and adapt our handling to the dog in front of us.

Because professional grooming isn't only about producing a beautiful haircut.

It's also about creating an experience that doesn't give your dog a reason to fear coming back.
